Riviera Cabin

Our clients were looking for a way to increase the usable space between a new cabin and their guest house. The existing landscape areas sloped sharply down an eroding embankment, ending at a fifteen foot tall stone wall above the motor court. This made material moving and installation a big challenge.
Using a heavy-duty telescopic lift, we constructed a hand-cut stone retaining wall. Blocks weighing more than 500 pounds were lifted up the embankment and fit into the new wall. This feature stabilized the entire site, and created a safe space to create the new seating area, walkways, play lawn, water feature, boulders, landscape plantings, and cut flower garden. A tasteful landscape lighting system finished off the project, and allows the landscape to be enjoyed into the evening year-round.
